About Us
Headway is dedicated to providing positive mental health resources to help people manage their lives more effectively. We have attempted to bring together a variety of resources in one location to help people learn and practice skills that will help them manage or regulate themselves more effectively.
Approach
Instead of focusing on conditions or problems that people may have, Headway focuses on how we all struggle and what we can do to improve our physical health, happiness, and well-being.
The TEACH Program includes skills that improve well-being and open the learner up to new possibilities and perspectives that can make the journey through life a little easier. We believe everyone has a masterpiece inside, but sometimes, our best and true selves can be buried beneath unhelpful behaviors, emotions, and thoughts that we use to help us cope with the stress of life.
Intent
To share strategies that are positive, well-established, and backed by research, and at the same time imaginative, creative, and fun. We hope you will incorporate some of these strategies into your daily routine such that they become habits that improve your happiness and well-being.
Vision
To provide helpful ideas and promote skills that benefit as many people as possible. We are all different in our likes and dislikes, and we know that everyone will respond differently to the ideas and strategies included on the site. We encourage exploring the various topics and techniques within a topic area and hope you find something that will resonate with your experience.
What you practice grows stronger. In each topic area of the TEACH Program, we suggest daily practices that gradually build strengths. We offer a variety of ideas to browse, and we hope no one is offended by a particular offering; we do not endorse any specific view. We will pass along strategies that we think may be helpful during difficult times. Please take the best and leave the rest.
